If you already have a web2py site in Pythonanywhere, backup it on your PC, remove it from the console and then delete all the file from the Bash console with 'rm -rf web2py' I've just started a new standard web2py app in Pythonanywhere. Goto the related web2py admin page with https (I have version 2.14.6-stable+timestamp.2016.05.10.00.21.47 - Python 2.7.6) . Press the upgrade now to Version 2.18.5 <https://nicozanf.pythonanywhere.com/admin/default/upgrade_web2py> button, confirm it on the ATTENTION page, you get a : Internal error
page. This is normal ;-) Goto the Pythonanywhere console page, WEB tab, click the green button to reload your site. DONE. Returning to the the web2py admin page for your site and you'll see version 2.18.5-stable+timestamp.2019.04.08.04.22.03, still on Python 2.7.6.
