I'm sure this is a consequence of Py3 compatibility, but I"ve noticed several places where strings are now unicode and it plays havoc with JSON translation. I'm trying to convert the output of database queries into JSON and the resulting strings have the shape of:
u'this is a unicode string' The default json encoder keeps the "u" making the string unreadable to the web page. I can smash everything with str() before encoding to get rid of the unicode flag but it's tedious. -- Joe -- Resources: - http://web2py.com - http://web2py.com/book (Documentation) - http://github.com/web2py/web2py (Source code) - https://code.google.com/p/web2py/issues/list (Report Issues) --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py-users" group.
