http.client is Python 3 only (it is called httplib in Python 2). Are you sure that's the module you want -- the Python docs note that it is not typically used directly but is the foundation of urllib? Consider urllib, urllib2, or the third-party Requests library. As for using Python 3 with web2py, you just have to install Python 3 (and of course make sure your app code is compatible with Python 3).
