You can set up logging, as described here: http://web2py.com/books/default/chapter/29/04/the-core#Logging. If you copy /web2py/examples/logging.example.config to /web2py/logging.config and restart the server, you should get warnings logged to a /web2py/web2py.log file. You can, of course, customize logging to suit your needs.
