I'm using py.test with splinter (phantomjs & chrome), xvfbwrapper, but I would not call it a fast way to go. I'm working (very little by little) on a py.test plugin to help starting UI (and unit) testing faster : https://github.com/matclab/pytest-web2py.wip But there is still a long way to go…
