In web2py it is trivial to engineer a web service that would do a partial
search across all text fields for entered characters and return a JSON
array of all matches. However is there some way with web2py to present
these for a user to select one to complete the entry of an input field?

For example, if there were a field name "person" on an HTML form then when
a person started entering a few characters into the field, the web2py json
web service would search across first name, last name and email fields for
a match of those characters and return all matches as a JSON array.

Then the user could press up or down arrow to select the one that matched
who he/she is.

How would you do such a completing read with web2py?
