Dave sounds very interesting. Point of information: there are very strict rules in the (at least in the US) for soliciting investment in this way and taking about potential profits. Google "rule 504 of regulation d". These rules are there to protect small investors and usually bar soliciting investment from low net worth individuals or unaccredited investors. There are numerous scams, often known as private placement scams, that operate by soliciting investments in this way. I'm sure Canada has similar, and probably more strict, controls set in place.
