I think Jason is right, Vim is a text editor and pydiction is a dictionary file. I had a look at Vim a few days ago, and found the naming rather confusing. To me auto-completion is related to the user, I would call vim's completion feature code-completing, related to the developer. I guess they call it auto_completion because you can add your own modules to it.
