Thanks.  I don't get the same erorr any more.  Now I have to figure out how
to use it in the web2py auth-setup.  As I said I am a newcomer to web2py -
this is my first site I am building with it.

I will ask about new problems in separate threads if I cannot solve it by
following the tutorial and examples.  I will have to change the auth setup
from email-login to username-login in order to use ldap-authentication.  But
that is a subject for a different thread.

Thanks for your trouble.  You are illustrating the worth of Open Source
technology and the wonderful people using it.
