Hi - I've had several unicode issues pop up with postgres and pydal in the last couple of weeks - it may be a version issue.
What versions of web2py and pydal are you using, what database adapter, and what - specifically - is giving you the crash? Is the problem when you try to read from the db or only when you write to it? What is the stack track?
