I love this story! I have no idea about what is wrong but looks like 
something got into an inconsistent state. One possibility is that they did 
some python upgrade and you rebooted the server and now it is failing on 
the new version. Do you know what OS is this? What python version? Have you 
tried clicking that button again? I would try.
