In the web2py book it says: By default, auth also requires a minimum password length of 4. This can be changed:
auth.settings.password_min_length = 4 (from http://www.web2py.com/book/default/chapter/09#Settings-and-messages) So I tried changing to: auth.settings.password_min_length = 7 After web2py server restart this still allows registration with a password less than 7 characters (4 still seems to be the minimum).
