Yes, somebody has tried and web2py run on ironpython with the
exception of wsgiserver and database drivers.
Anyway. I think the topic of this thread was web2py vs asp.net. I am
not competent on asp.net to comment and Dlypka,s comments on this
topic. I had conversations I had to asp.net programmers and they tell
me the code is not as structured as in web2py, it is also more
verbose. On the plus side, it is more component-oriented but those
components are expensive. Both chose jquery fo ajax.
