just make sure that you don't have migrate=False anywhere (or migrate_enabled=False in the DAL line). fake_migrate (as the name stands) does a FAKE migration, meaning it won't touch the db at all. If your db is empty, just delete all the contents of your appname/databases/ folder and you're good to go.
