more details on why i ask this. i currently put my mcp.py module under python's main lib subdirectory, /usr/lib/python2.6. it works fine there of course but i can't access or edit it from within web2py, even with symbolic links to the mcp.py and mcp.pyc files under the application/appname/modules.
