ok, so to recap, the problem lies only with sqlite. I'm not saying it's not an issue I'll continue looking into, I'm just glad that at least with a db that has no concurrency issues (like postgres) the code runs fine. I'll be back on testing it with sqlite this evening: I'm not that confident that I'll reproduce the behaviour you're seeing but at least I'll try to inspect what can go wrong.
