Hi! thanks a lot for your reply, i'm trying to implement your answer but
i'm having a couple of issues for which i'm not sure what's the solution.

your code reads:
form = FORM(SELECT(*[OPTION(<function to apply>) for
            f in <list of functions>], _name="function"), table)
There's two things here i don't understand:
first, What does <function to apply> stand for? I get the "for f in list of
functions" but shouldn't <function to apply>  be a substitute for 'f' ?

Second, I' keep getting a web2py editor error somewhere near '_name' and i
can't seem to get what it is.

Coule you help me out understant this a bit better, or in alternative point
me to some webresource that helps me understand it better?

Many, Many thanks!! Very appreciated by your help!
bests,
filipe
