[web2py] IS_EMPTY_OR for spam bot filtering?

Can I use IS_EMPTY_OR to require a field is completely empty, basically 
leaving out the OR part?

I'd like to make a hidden field in a form that is required to be empty to 
help filter out spam bots on a form.
