these will work:

db(db.a.dts.day() > now.day).select(db.a.ALL)
db(db.a.dts.month() > now.day).select(db.a.ALL)
db(db.a.dts.year() > now.day).select(db.a.ALL)

weekday() is not supported. Perhaps we can add it. Let me look into
it.
