A question was asked earlier on enabling gzip with web2py and Massimo
answered that it's handled by the webserver.

Lighttpd handles gzip compression but in their documentation about
compression<http://redmine.lighttpd.net/projects/1/wiki/Docs_ModCompress#Django>,

for dynamic content, the framework needs to provide some assistance if not
handle it outright.

I've enabled compression in my lighttp server, but web2py's output is not
being compressed. Any ideas?
