Glad to have Fran and Jason's feedback. Fran's example is more intuitive, although he forgot to mention similar modification is needed in web2py_ajax.html, by the way I use the name response.info instead of response.confirmation. To Massimo: I tried to apply above modifications into applications/ welcome, but even so, I still can't get an info/warning/error -aware empty app when I "create new application" in app admin. I think I miss something.
