Webfaction is a good choice. I have one of the websites I run on them
and have never any trouble with them. I needed support help for one
thing on setup, but they were responsive and helpful. Just so you know. -tim SystemicPlural wrote: Thanks I've decided to go with Webfaction for now. only $11 a month and it is a better deal than my current service - which I am not happy with for service reasons. If it works out I'll move my other stuff there as well. Thanks for everyones help. (currently a .net and php developer) I am trying to workout what kind of requirements the deployment server will need. My current service is on a shared server with Python enabled in the cgi-bin. Is this enough for web2py? If not what will I need. Any recommendations of shared server space that is pretty cheap?I opted for Google App Engine because it is free to get started with, and is supposed to be scalable in a very graceful (and transparent) way. It's brand new, so only time will tell if these things are completely true. For more information:http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/whatisgoogleappengine.html The manual that Massimo mentioned (which includes a full chapter on deployment) is available here:http://mdp.cti.depaul.edu/examples/static/web2py_manual_cut.pdf I hope that helps, --Jonathan -- Timothy Farrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Computer Guy Statewide General Insurance Agency (www.swgen.com) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py Web Framework" group.
