Can I ask why the table select does not work on GAE? I understand that the reason why other features are disabled is because you cannot write to the file system on GAE. However, a select does not require file system writing. Is it because of GQL's limitations (e.g. no table joins)? I don't see why this would prevent you from doing basic selects through appadmin, i.e. whatever GQL does support. I ask because I'm interested in helping to improve appadmin so it works as well as possible on GAE.
