I finished watching the 8 hour CNN series "History of the Sitcom" recently
and was very disappointed that TAGS was basically ignored. They spent
probably 2 minutes total on "The Andy Griffith Show", mostly clips from the
"pickles" episode, while spending over 10 minutes on "The Nanny", and a lot
of time on other shows not even in the same league as TAGS. One segment of
an episode was devoted to memorable theme songs, and the TAGS theme was not
even mentioned. Unbelievable.

And a program note for anyone interested - this Sunday, Sept. 19th, the CBS
Morning show will feature the report from Ted Koppel on his visit to Mt.
Airy a few months ago. Hopefully this won't be disappointing.
