Elizabeth B. asked last week about the episodes where guns are prominent. She mentioned the one where Andy points a gun at Goober in anger. This pointing of guns at people is something that has always surprised me on TAGS. The very first "commandment" of gun safety is to assume that every gun is loaded, and to never point a gun at anyone. Yet there are several episodes where guns are pointed directly at people.
Besides Elizabeth's example, there's the one where Uncle Ollie is in the courthouse, takes a rifle, and points it at Andy. And in "Andy the Matchmaker", Barney points his gun directly at Andy's face, and then directly at a prisoner. I know there are other examples, but these two come to mind right away. A little surprising - and to me, different than the ongoing gag of Barney accidentally firing his revolver into the floor.
