Hi Joe, Regarding script continuity, I believe that the responsibility may be for the continuity within each story, rather than across story arcs. The person in charge of that makes sure that certain shots have consistent features and are tied together with the rest of the story.
One of the many examples of what the person does might be this: with the single camera technique, there is the possibility for props to become altered between each shot, and so the person makes sure that these props are consistent. Sometimes this responsibility may also be in the propmaster's bailywick. We've all seen examples of when little slips occur. For example, Barney's famous hair change during the recitation of the Preamble of the Constitution, shows that his hair was one way during one shot, and quite different during another shot. Makeup may also be in charge of this, along with the director. Also, the continuity supervisor makes sure that word usage is consistent in the script, etc. It seems that, with different productions, the role of script continuity supervisor changes somewhat.
