I am down here in South Central Oklahoma, and you would have thought I would
never have occasion to be involved in the life of one of our far off members,
but today it happened. In our State Newspaper this morning, they had an article
that said the big cheese of the Eau Claire Wisconsin schools decided to not let
the local veterans carry their weapons into the school for some show on
Veterans Day.I immediately thought of our own Ken Anderson, and it made me
wonder if he is barred from his old school with his trusty sidearm. What
were the names Barney called his pistol, I forget?Just another sign that times
now a days are nothing like the days of Mayberry, where Barney was shown inside
the Mayberry school carrying a weapon. ( I started to say a loaded weapon,
but with Barney you are never really sure).Things today are just so different
from Mayberry. Orville Hendricks - Mount Pilot Butter and Egg Man
