Twice in the last couple of days I've heard the rock song "Bad to the Bone" on the radio. I remember that our local TV station used to air a commercial which featured a version of this song, sung by someone doing a passable imitation of Don Knotts.
One of the verses went like this: Now to some I'm a lawman; To Thelma Lou, I'm a stud. If you've got a problem, I nip it in the bud. (I don't remember the next line) ...but I'm here to tell you, Opie, I'm b-b-bad to the bone. Does anybody remember this parody? I'd surely like to add it to my music library.
