Sheldon Golomb (pronounced like Gollum in The Hobbit movies) is today, as others have mentioned, a dentist in Colorado. While he was working as a child actor, his agent insisted (against Sheldon's wishes) that he adopt the stage name Sheldon Collins, since it was easier to spell and pronounce. Once he stopped acting he went back to Golomb, his real name.
