It won't be Charlene Darling and Bernie the furrier, but Maggie Peterson and Ronnie Schell will be performing the play "Love Letters" in Mount Airy on Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14th. Tickets include dinner at Cross Creek Country Club followed by their performance. This play was performed by Betty Lynn and Howard Morris to a sold out crowd a number of years ago. Know that it is not "Mayberry" and is not recommended for young children, but it is a great opportunity to see two great entertainers in a live performance.
They will also be making appearances in the Andy Griffith Museum on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30-3:30 pm for autographs and photos. For more information and tickets, please call the Surry Arts Council at 336.786.7998 or visit the website at http://www.surryarts.org/main/displaypage.php?page=news/touringartists.html As a bonus to WBMUTBB members, the Hampton Inn (where Ronnie and Maggie are staying) is offering a special block rate if you call for reservations and mention "Love Letters". http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/north-carolina/hampton-inn-mount-airy-MTANCHX/index.html Jeff _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
