We got back from a nice vacation in Wisconsin last night that included a few Mayberry highlights:
Ken Anderson was kind enough to drive out in his squad car and join us for a nice visit and lunch. If there are any doubts that Ken is not the real deal, you can take my word he is as kind, generous and as funny in person as he is on the Digest. A prince. A real prince. Our next stop was at the Taylor Home Inn. What an amazing place! I've seen lots of pictures, but to see it in person is the only thing that does it justice. Fun to see lots of friend's names in the guest books. It will be a busy week for them with David Browning and a crew of 25-30 people spending this week filming a short movie at the house. Hopefully David will share stories. They were putting the finishing touches on The Courthouse when we got there and it will be great to see the film when it is completed. The third and unexpected thing was taking the scenic route out of Racine and spotting a squad car parked in a used car lot. The salesman said it was the real thing "from that movie they did." After hearing that, I should have asked if he also had Teddy Roosevelt's canon for sale. haha Good times, Jeff _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
