Regarding the points on Andy's badge. Well, I have a theory. My theory is that on the fifth anniversary of his being sheriff his friends got together and had a party and as a gift they had the patch made with five points. Then on his sixth anniversary they had another party and this time they gave him the special badge with six points. Being the humble and modest man that he was Andy thought they were making much too much of his anniversaries and he made them promise not to have any more parties. Thus nothing was ever given to him with more points. End of theory. Maybe they should have done something similar with Barney except for him they could have given him bullets. On his first anniversary he would receive his first bullet, then on his second anniversary his second bullet and so on up to his sixth anniversary. Then for his seventh anniversary they could have given him his gun.
