The Dillards have reported on Facebook that Doug (Mayberry's banjo-playing Darling boy) is in the ICU of a Nashville hospital. Details are sketchy but it appears he is unconscious and not able to breathe without the machines. Reportedly, at first the hospital staff refused to let Rodney even go in and see him, but he was finally able to at least go in and see his brother for a minute or two before being asked to leave.
The Dillard family is asking for prayers for Doug. If you're not the praying type, then as Barney once said to Thelma Lou, "keep a good thought."
