This may be old news now but I know the story of Ed Crumpacker. Helen's mother's name was Lenora Crump. Helen's dad died when she was 2 years old. Three years later Lenora married Leon Acker. Two years after that Ed was born. He never liked the name Ed Crump-Acker so he changed it to Crumpacker. So actually Ed and Helen are half-brother and sister. That's how Ed came to offer Andy a job as Helen called her half-brother and asked him to do it.
