The single scene in all of TAGS with the most people (not the most characters) on screen at one time comes during Opie's dream sequence in "A Medal for Opie." When he dreams of getting a medal for the ten-mile run, we see tens of thousands of people in the grandstands. It was obviously stock footage, probably borrowed from some old baseball film (perhaps Pride of the Yankees or something along those lines.)
