I was happy to see the post on signatures because I've always wondered why personalities won't give out their signatures and when I heard Andy was one of them I felt a little surprised. It just didn't seem Andyish. I think it's not so much an element of not wanting to be bothered or their a little pompous (seems like a harsh way to put it but that's all I can think of) but some folks capitalize on it. I watch Antiques Roadshow and Pawn Stars and many people make a big deal out of a signature, more so than the item it's on, in order to get more money. Such as, a personality was in town and a Pawn Star employee was sent out to get Dillion's signature to up the value of an old album of his. I assume this is why signatures are rare but it has been a glinch why friendly Andy did that. If that's one reason I can't say I blame them. Just remembered a note sold on Antiques Roadshow for $25,000 with Lincoln's signature on it.
