About two weeks ago,Jeff Branch(Howard Sprague) posted about the upcoming
Mayberry Night in Troy,
August 27 @ 7:00.I would like to offer my take on it.Several members from our
TAGS chapter attend
every year and have never been disappointed."Lotta bang for the buck...this is
a family oriented venue.
Granted,this is a much smaller event than four days in Mt. Airy...BUT,the
artists are much more accessible
for pictures and autographs.If the distance and economy prohibit you from
attending Mt. Airy,then this
is the perfect alternative.
The artists pour their heart and soul into the music/comedy performance.There
will be several tables
laden with donated TAGS items.These can be acquired through the silent auction
portion of the program.
Every year TAGS minded fans make really nice items that can't be purchased in
ANY Mt.Airy store...but
you can gobble 'em up at Troy.
About fifteen from our chapter will dine before the show at Zeno's Italian
Restaurant.Feel free to come and
join us.In a couple of days I will post the reservation time as soon as I make
it.
Shoot,it's more fun than skimming stones on Myer's Lake,and definitely more fun
than attending The
Mayberry Knot Tying Tuesday Night soirre.
