Mayberry does appear to be the place for magical musical instruments.
Gomer and his harmonica, Jim Lindsey playing an electric guitar without
electricity and Keevey Hazelton playing his guitar with his fingers never
touching the strings. Then throw in Briscoe Darling's magical jug that can
make all kinds of instrument sounds. But my question is, with all that
musical magic in Mayberry, then why was the Mayberry Town Band the most
disgusting band I have ever heard. Maybe their problem was the fact that
they did indeed actually blow on the horns and use their fingers on the
instruments. Makes you think.
