Andy and Barney would have to be cousins on Andy's mother's side because in the episode "Aunt Bee's Invisible Beau" Barney makes the remark, "If Aunt Bee were my aunt, I'd sure be more concerned about the situation...." (or something like that). So since Aunt Bee is not Barney's aunt, Andy's mother must be the sibling that makes them cousins.
