I would like to publically thank Bob James for his very kind words on
yesterday's post. You have no idea how much that meant to me. Nothing in
this life gives me more pleasure than when I can stand in front of a group
and talk about Mayberry. I am so fortunate too that my wife shares my
passion as she has never missed one of my presentations. She always takes
off work to go along with me and she always wears a Mayberry sweatshirt when
we go. She has supported me whenever I have spent money to purchase
Mayberry related items. In fact, she was the one who got me started by
purchasing things from Weaver's Department Store many years ago. Linda
insisted I purchase both complete sets of Hawthorne buildings and she was
one hundred percent supportive when I wanted to buy the squad car. Now she
is insisting that we take some set aside funds and have some work done on
the squad car to make it look even better. So Bob, I thank you from my
humble heart for your words. They were truly appreciated.
