***Two Chairs No Waiting Podcast #100: Mayberry Centennial ***
To celebrate the 100th episode of the podcast, we have “the man
himself,” Andy Griffith, joining us in the form of his address to the
crowds at Mayberry Days 2004.
2004 was the year that TV Land presented the Andy & Opie statue to the
city of Mt. Airy. It was Andy Griffith’s request to TV Land that made
this occur and Mayberry fans everywhere are thankful to Andy for making
that request.
Thank you to Doug Rogers for providing us with this outstanding audio of
Andy’s comments.
