As a big fan of both TAGS and Emergency!, I've been noticing a striking similarity between the Andy and Barney comedic scenes and the Roy (Kevin Tighe)/John (Ranolph Mantooth) comedic scenes. It seems like John will play the "Barney part" and Roy will do the straight (Andy) part. Even though there's really no comparison, and all of the above actors are fine in their own right, it's pretty neat to see Don's influence (even if only by association) in this show. Most of the time, it might have something to do with John (Mantooth) having a girlfriend or having some sort of problem and Roy's incredulous reactions to them. And then, I wonder what it would be like if Barn had been a paramedic..."Ringer's Lactate, Andy! Ringer's Lactate!! Nip it!!" Or, when responding to an emergency case of "the Versitis," Barn might say "get out the shockers...get out the shockers..." and then be zapped himself..ouch! :-)
