I wanted to issue a very belated response to Janet's comment (3/30) on the radio drama Adventures in Odyssey. As a long-time fan of both TAGS and AIO, I was glad Janet mentioned the several ties between the two programs. In addition to Hal Smith's voicing of the main character, John Avery Whitaker, and Parley Baer as Uncle Joe Finneman, there are two other TAGS alumni I know of who were/are in recurring roles on the show. Howard Morris was the voice of Ellis Birch, and Janet Waldo (the first woman to arrive in "A Wife for Andy") is the voice of Joanne Woodston-Allen and voiced former character Maureen Hodges.
TAGS is also mentioned in AIO episode 169, and AIO episode 297 includes a loose parody of TAGS. Other references are listed at < http://www.aiohq.com/referenc.htm#andygrif>.
