I'm pretty sure Nice Dress Nellie got her name in season one, episode 16, Andy
Saves Barney's Morale. While Andy went out of town for a day and left Barney
in charge, our favorite deputy locked up almost the whole town. As Andy was
letting everyone out of the cell and Nellie passed by him, I believe that's
when he uttered the famous words, "Hi, Nellie, nice dress".
Hope I'm right or I'll feel awful silly.
