Hey folks, I have several great announcements. Not sure if I have shared
this or not so forgive me if I am repeating myself. First of all my book
just recently won an award. It has received the Wurlitzer Award. Yes, that
is correct - Wurlitzer, it is not a typo. The Wurlitzer Award is given to
books that can be gotten for a song at thrift sales. So now that I have
received such success as an author I have decided to venture out into new
areas. I mentioned a few days ago that my wife and I had spent our eighth
visit at the Taylor Home Inn B and B. Well, after a lot of thought I have
come to the decision that there is enough interest in Wisconsin to warrant
a second Mayberry Inn. So I am thinking of opening a Darling Home C and D.
A C and D is like a B and B except you sleep on chairs and get dinner. We
would serve fish muttle, hogback, and on Sunday's hootowl pie. My wife will
even let guests watch her prepare the meals. After all "Friendliness is
next to Godliness". We might even throw in some pearly onions. Now I am
going to have to stick some money into my place in order to fix it up so I
am hoping to get $200 in Federal Stimulus Money in United States Dollars.
But don't worry, I am going to continue living like poor folk, just like
the rest of you. I hope to convert my outdoor storage shed into a two hole
outhouse. Now that is something I have always dreamed of having. And I
have the Sears catalogs to swing it. I have even talked to a friend of mine
who has agreed that he would come in the middle of the night and throw rocks
through the windows. Of course I would have to include a surcharge for
window replacements. Anamenities don't come cheap and you can't expect that
for $2.00 a night. His name is David E. Fish. He's the closest I could come
to anyone named Ernest T. Bass. The only problem is he doesn't know how to
play an empty kerosene can, but we can't offer everything when we first
open. Like Dave and Marsha, we will have to add things as business grows.
Now please do not send in requests for reservations yet as this is just in
the embryonic stage and it may take a few days to get everything done. So
please wait until I make an official announcement. I need to get the
official verification in the mail from the zoning board to say that it is
OK.
