Joe, I figured you would be bombarded with "Andy facts" so I didn't
respond, but the first thing I thought of was Andy's favorite dish(es).
In one episode Opies says, "Look Pa, your favorite. Chicken with crust."
Then on another episode Thelma Lou is cooking leg of lamb and Andy says,
"Good, that's my favorite dish!"
Ken, regarding a deputyess: We never saw her, but big Jeff Pruitt's
second choice girl, Bertha, sounds like she could fit the bill. Then
there is Mary Grace. She later became a carpenter which is considered a
man's realm so maybe she could have been a deputy. Then there was that
beauty contest hopeful that could chuck a sack of seed/feed over her
shoulder and deliver it from her daddy's store. You can't give her much
for pretty, but she sure gets points for muscles.
