We know from Miss Crump's class that Mayberry is somewhere's between the Atlan Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, Mexico, Canada, Kelsey's Woods and Kelsey's ocean. That's all that really matters. Other than Nice Dress Nellie and Mr. Schwamp, when the series went to color there seem to be a whole new set of background actors. Many of them are not as familiar as the old gang that gathered around for the famous Citizens Arrest. Maybe they just had grey clothes, and they had to go find people with color in their wardrobe for the color episodes??? I just saw the episode where Ernest T Bass wants to fight Malcolm Meriweather. There is bright color is an orange Ford Mustang seen twice. I have a miniature model (about a foot long) of that very car, from the days when my Pa was a Ford Dealer. Now I can park it right in my Mayberry stuff.
