First, I want to just say that I love reading all of the post every afternoon. The digest ususally comes during my lunch hour which is a treat!
I also love watching the little abnormalities of the show as well. I noticed too the balcony door in Andy's room the other night as I watched "The Rumor". One other thing I noticed was that when Barney came in the room earlier to talk with Aunt Bee, the room was being painted. When everyone brought Helen and Andy up to the room it was very nicely papered. I thought that a bit odd I hope everyone out there has a very Mayberry Day!! For example, the other night I watched "The Rumor" where Barney mistakenly thinks Andy and Helen are getting married and he and the town donate money to redo Andy's room. Well we know that Andy's room is on the second floor but there is an outside door that leads to ? In all the exterior shots there are no second floor decks, porches or balconies so where does this door go?
