I experimented with the subject and follow instructions on the page http://www.waveprotocol.org/code/tutorials/gadgets-with-your-own-gadget-server. I have found an typo and inaccuracy in the description.
1) There is no file containers.js, it is container.js. 2) There are many files with path WEB-INF/classes/containers/default/container.jsin the distributuve after inslaiing Shindig. I tried to correct all of them, but this has no effect. Then I edited config/container.js file, as stated in article, rebuilded distributive, and everything is working. So I suggest to fix this post: 1. Extract Shindig distributive to local directory by following the instructions at http://shindig.apache.org/download/index.html#Installation_Instructions 1. Edit the file config/container.js ... as in original ... 2. Build Shindig. ... as in original ...
