While I think GWT might be more a psychological barrier then a real
one (once you have eclipse set up it only really takes an hour to get
the gist of it), this is still a good idea.

Wave, ideally, should really be just a protocol and not force
developers to use very specific tools and code to get what they want
done.
Obviously at the moment this is some what pie-in-the-sky hopes but
would be nice to see native clients  possible too, especially for
phone use where browsers might be too lacking.
